Who we are
Reefcount Software Inc. ("Reefcount", "we") is located at 91 Ocean Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90073, United States. This notice covers the Reefcount program for Windows and macOS, the survey tool on reefcount.gg and our support channels (together, the "Service"). Reefcount is independent and is not affiliated with Epic Games, Inc.
What stays on your device
- Locker screenshots and survey results. The program recognizes items in your screenshots locally. Images, recognized items and saved reports are stored in the program's folder on your computer.
- Browser surveys. The survey on reefcount.gg saves your list in your browser's local storage. Clearing site data or pressing "New survey" removes it.
What we receive
- Requests and support messages. Your email address and whatever you write when you ask for an installer or contact us.
- Update checks. When the program checks for a new catalog or version, it sends its version number and operating system. No locker data is included.
- Crash reports. If the program crashes, it can send a report with technical details about the error. You can turn this off under Settings → Privacy.
- Website logs. Our servers record IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request, kept for 14 days.
How we use it
We use this information to send installers, answer questions, deliver catalog updates, fix bugs and protect the Service from abuse. We only send product news if you ask for it, and every message includes an unsubscribe link. We do not pass personal information to data brokers and do not use it for targeted advertising.
Who helps us
A hosting provider, an email delivery service and a crash-reporting service process data for us under contracts that limit their use to providing those services. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect people from harm or fraud, or to a company that acquires Reefcount and agrees to honor this notice.
Young players
Reefcount does not need an account, so most players never share anything with us. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child under 13 has emailed us, contact privacy@reefcount.gg and we will delete the message and any reply.
Your California and US privacy rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it or to send you a copy. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, including the right to limit and to opt out of sharing; we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of other states with privacy laws, such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and Washington, have similar rights, including the right to appeal our decision. We respond within 45 days and never treat you differently for making a request.

Security
Installers are code-signed, catalog updates are delivered over encrypted connections, and the small amount of data on our servers is encrypted at rest with access limited to our team. If an incident ever affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Changes
We will post updates on this page and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
